people suck.

humans exist
for only one reason:
to make more humans.
this is a project
that does not require
civilization
politics
sports
fashion
knowledge
religion
cuisine
science
entertainment.
all that is needed
is a dollop of sperm
and one egg.
shake & bake
and nine months later:
human existence fulfilled.
raise the little thing,
and a spare or two,
until it can also propagate –
and then die.
you are no longer needed.

this is the part
humans get wrong.
they convince themselves
they have a Higher Purpose,
a Meaning beyond
perpetuating the species.
they do not,
but that does not
stop them from
causing massive harm
to other humans
and the entire planet,
proving the veracity of
undeniable truth #1:
people suck.

and it’s totally unnecessary.
just create your
next generation
(or don’t)
and enjoy the stay.
it’s brief,
but it’s enough
if you just decide
you will disprove
undeniable truth #1.
