No, no, and HELL NO!
Oregon proved it can remove a sitting governor without impeachment. Bipartisan demand for change resulted in the resignation of Kitzhaber without the months-long political turmoil of impeachment.
And what we've learned from the national scene is that impeachment is almost always a partisan political charade. How often do we want one party or the other bringing government to a standstill when they decide to push impeachment? The Oregon GOP, which is falling further & further into irrelevance because they back policies a strong majority of Oregonians oppose, would no doubt find reasons to impeach the governor every six months or so.
I am incredibly disappointed in those Dems who voted for this in the House.
